Cloud technology company AppLayer has announced the availability of its new platform, White Label Box. The solution allows businesses to outsource standard IT applications and core infrastructure through their preferred IT services company, avoiding the need to manage multiple cloud and on-premise providers.

A key feature of White Label Box is the simplification of user and application management. An authorised individual - the reseller, the business customer, or both - can login to the interface, add users and instantly grant access to any of White Label Box's core services. Applications range from Hosted Desktop to SharePoint or Dynamics CRM and can be assigned individually or combined to form complete, integrated, IT solutions. This means that businesses are able to focus on managing their employees and providing them with the right tool to do their job, irrespective of whether this is a desktop, server or SaaS-based application, or a combination of all three.

"Small businesses are tired of managing poorly integrated IT solutions that have frequently been put together in an ad-hoc manner over a number of years by various suppliers and vendors," commented David Organ, director of AppLayer. "Many employees work away from the office and depend on mobile devices. Managers are increasingly looking to virtualisation, hosting and the cloud to get rid of costly, inefficient servers and sprawling in-house desktop infrastructures. We developed White Label Box so that IT services companies can finally offer a fully-fledged cloud solution to their customers, adapted and branded to their own requirements."

"White Label Box represents a huge opportunity for traditional IT companies," said Jeremy Curtis, managing director of Flint IT. "We work primarily with businesses in the SME sector, where resources are limited and flexibility is essential. Our clients rely on us to help them select and manage the right IT solution for their business. By using the White Label Box platform we are able to maintain that close working relationship, even when that means moving them to a hosted or cloud based environment. We can take care of our customers' applications and data requirements without having to worry about managing different suppliers or the underlying infrastructure, all of which is handled by AppLayer."

To support partners as they adjust to this new, virtual model of delivering managed services, White Label Box also includes a Partner Hub. The hub is in the form of a Web portal which provides resources ranging from documentation to promotional materials, all of which can be branded, to help resellers capitalise on this new opportunity.
